Specialist Facilities

The Factory Theatre

The Factory Theatre is a professional music, drama and entertainment facility with a 577 seat theatre, bio box, professional lighting grid, sound system and a contemporary recording studio.

Industrial Kitchen and Cafe

St Pius X is equipped with a large, fully functioning industrial kitchen, providing students with the tools and resources necessary to develop their skills within a professional setting.

The Gym

Our weights room includes commercial-grade free weights, pin-loaded machines and a range of supplementary training tools.

Sister Marie Centre

The beautiful Sr Marie Centre was designed by SHAC architecture and is a homage to Sr Marie Therese Fahey, a Josephite Sister who had a long relationship of service with our school.

The building is a multi-function gathering space where school Masses and Liturgies are held, along with various teaching and learning activities. The center boasts a modern and sleek design with subtle geometrical references including symmetry, repetition and mathematical proportion as seen in the fractal tree ceiling pattern.

The Library

The St Pius X Library is an award-winning, contemporary learning facility, staffed by a qualified Teacher Librarian and support staff. From year 7 to the more rigorous academic demands of Stage 6; the library is an important resource for both students and staff at St Pius. The library has an extensive collection of contemporary fiction and non-fiction resources, eBooks and audiobooks. It also provides access to a variety of subscription services to assist staff and students in their teaching and learning.

Our Teacher Librarian regularly collaborates with staff in creating programmes that develop students’ critical thinking and information literacy skills. We also have a strong focus on the ethical use of information and digital technologies, preparing students for the demands of the HSC and beyond.

Music Rooms and Studio

At St Pius X we strive to provide our students with ample opportunity to gain practical industry related experience. Our two music rooms and professional recording studio, enables students to apply their knowledge, as they bring their productions and performances to life.
